ARTICLE III – MEMBERSHIP
Section 3 A candidate for the Executive Board or Executive Officers must have been a member in good standing for one (1) year, and have attended at least seven (7) meetings during the election year.
ARTICLE VI – PROCEDURE FOR ELECTIONS
Section 1 All members in good standing shall be informed of the positions to be filled at least 10 days before nominations are to be made and at least 10 days before the election is to be held.
Section 2 Nominations for officers shall be held at the February membership meetings.
Section 3 Elections shall be held at the April membership meetings. Write-in candidates are not eligible for executive board positions during this meeting.
Section 4 Any members present and in good standing for at least one hundred and twenty (120) workdays shall be able to vote.
Section 5 A sample ballot must be approved by the Executive Board prior to the election.
Section 6 Voting shall be by secret ballot unless all positions are uncontested. Uncontested elections may be by acclamation.
Section 7 Ballots shall be counted at the same meeting as that of the election by a person not of this Local.
Section 8 Newly elected officers' terms shall begin at the next Executive Board meeting.
Section 9 The Officers shall be elected to a four (4) year term.
Section 10 Election results shall be published in the next regular publication of the local and sent to all members.
Section 11 If a vacancy occurs within that time the President with the approval of the Executive Board shall appoint a person to fill the unexpired term.
